Michael Peguero - "CACO"
Michael Peguero identifies his drawing methodology not as a mode of expression but as a mode of meditation. Getting lost in the white noise of every stroke of the pen becomes the filtration system used to comprehend this world.
Born in New York City to Dominican parents and raised in Thailand, the illustrator draws inspiration both from the divergent places he has traveled to throughout his life and from his architectural education. Peguero is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington, having earned his B.S. in Architecture and minor in Architectural History. Honors and accolades include AIA Dallas Design Award for the Holding House (2008), AIA Sustainability in Design for the Holding House (2008), AIAS Jury Lounge and Gallery at the 2008 AIA National Convention and Design Exposition in Boston, Best Intern Submission – West Village M Line Trolley Competition (2009).
Michael Peguero is presently teaching at Harvard University Graduate School of Design where he received his Master of Arhitecture 2014 with a full scholarship.
